The NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program is a FREE, 12-session course for family caregivers of individuals with serious mental illnesses.  The course is taught by trained family members.  All instruction and course materials are free for class participants.

The Family-to-Family curriculum focuses on schizophrenia, bipolar disorder (manic depression), clinical depression, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).  The course discusses the clinical treatment of these illnesses and teaches the knowledge and skills that family members need to cope more effectively.

Thursday, 3/10/16            Class 3: Mood Episodes, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorder,              PTSD, and Dual Diagnosis

Saturday, 3/12/16            Class 4: Basics about the Brain

Thursday, 3/17/16           Class 5: Problem Solving Skills Workshop

Saturday, 3/19/16            Class 6: Medication Review

Tuesday, 3/22/16             Class 7: Inside Mental Illness: Understanding the Subjective Experience of Living                          with Mental Illness

Thursday, 3/24/16            Class 8: Communication Skills Workshop

Thursday, 3/31/16            Class 9: Self-Care (for Family Members)

Saturday, 4/02/16            Class 10: The Vision and Potential of Recovery
