Jack And Jill Of America, Inc. Partnering With NAMI Affiliates
We are excited to announce a new 2-year partnership with Jack and Jill of America Inc, an organization that has a strong track record of community engagement work. Jack and Jill of America chapters will work with NAMI state organizations and affiliates to raise mental health awareness in African American communities across the country.
Jack and Jill of America, Inc., a membership organization for mothers of children ages 2 to 19, works to nurture future African-American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.
Jack and Jill by the Numbers:

- 238 chapters across the country
- 96%of members are college educated
- 82%have household incomes above $100k
- 55%are between 40 to 49 years old
About the Partnership
Jack and Jill of America members tend to be highly educated and influential individuals (doctors, lawyers, business owners, teachers, etc.). Chapter members use their skills and resources to impact their local communities in different programmatic areas. As a result of this new partnership, to fulfill their health program areas, Jack and Jill of America chapters will work with us to increase mental health awareness for African American children.
NAMI Cumberland Harnett and Lee Counties(NAMICHL) and It’s local Jack and Jill Of America have formed a local partnership. Judge April Smith of the local chapter brought greetings at NAMICHL’s Volunteer Recognition and Christmas Festivities on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Both organizations are looking forward to the impact this partnership will have on our community.
